This must be the very best mk1 Land Rover Freelander available, outside of a museum. This outstanding example is an early 1998 2.0 XEDI, Manual Transmission 5 Door Station Wagon, owned by just one private owner from new with 1 previous owner on the logbook. This is due to the car being registered to a family member for onward sale purposes, following the owners bereavement. The car has only covered 39,100 miles, since being supplied by Duckworth Land Rover for £21,129 in April 1998. The car is still sporting its Duckworth Land Rover Dealer Front & Rear Number Plates and Spare Wheel Cover. Finished in Caledonian Blue with Smokestone Tapestry Cloth Upholstery. Incredible condition with original paintwork and beautifully straight panels, garaged vehicle. No lacquer peal or flat paintwork, nice and solid underneath and will benefit from a decent wire brush clean and rust protection during our stringent preparation process. We drained the old fuel and fitted a new fuel filter, the engine starts immediately with no hesitation and sounds absolutely fantastic. We will be carrying out a full engine and brake service in preparation, as the car has been off the road since 2020 following the bereavement of its elderly owner. We have the original bill of sale, and a wonderful collection of parts / maintenance and service invoices. Highlights from an invoice in 2018 include new front brake pipes and hoses, propshaft centre bearing and rear exhaust box. Timing belt replacement at 23,821 miles. Service invoices at 3.6K, 8K, 12.1K, 17.5K, 25.7K, 28.4K, 31.6K, 37K and our service to add at 39.1K. Electric Sunroof and All Round Electric Windows & Rear Screen, all fully working and watertight.
