Land Rover Range Rover Evoque (2011 - 2019) 2.0 eD4 SE 2WD Hatchback 5d Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
Fantastic car which has never let me down in 7 years. My 3rd JLR product, bought on the strength of the reliability of the other two, a Jaguar XF and a Velar. I had to replace brake pads when I bought it and again a few years later but it's a big, heavy car so that's no surprise. People complain it's expensive but forget that you are buying a car with FULL off-road capabilities, regardless of whether you use them or not. Comfortable for long journeys, so I'm not sure why some reviews say otherwise (most video reviews you watch will tell you that they're extremely comfortable and this is a trait of all JLR cars. I have lower back issues so wouldn't keep it if it wasn't comfortable. I would also take some of the other reviews with a pinch of salt, like the owner who claims to have had 3 clutches in 16,000 miles - so obviously still under warranty - yet decided to keep it. You just wouldn't. Or the guy who claims to have been stuck with a sidewall puncture, well that's the same with any car, a sidewall puncture isn't repairable and you knew the car didn't come with a spare as standard when you bought it. That's not the car's fault! You can buy one cheaply on ebay.
I repeat, fantastic car, just look after them and they will look after you. Bad ones are usually used ones that have been bought by people who can't really afford to run them so skimp on maintenance. Look for a low mileage one with one or two owners and a good service record and you'll be fine.
How reliable do you find the car?
No issues in 7 years apart from replacement brake pads.
Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
Great car with excellent spec. A bit pricey but you are buying a car with off road capability.
