Range Rover Evoque review (2024)

Want to know everything there is to know about this car?

In their own words

Had it two months and like it a lot. My partner had her heart set on an Evoque although I was worried it was a school mum / hairdresser's car (sorry!). However, my fears are largely unfounded. I'm not completely blown away by the lux feel compared with BMWs and Mercs we've had but it's certainly a nice place to be.
Also, we've never had an electric car before - we went for the BIK tax-beating hybrid - and to my surprise I love it (my last car was a V8 BMW 650i !!). The silence is seductive and when the 1.5l petrol engine kicks in after about 30 miles you can barely tell. It's not the quickest engine around but the whole electric experience has changed the way I drive, it just doesn't seem to matter anymore. Using a five litre engine to convert fuel into CO2 seems so old fashioned all of a sudden. When range anxiety is a thing of the past I'm sure we'll go full electric. (Yes, I know the electricity has to come from somewhere but that's for another day!).

Issues - none so far but I've got all fingers and toes crossed given RRs lamentable reliability record. And please JLR, move the tail gate open button from its moronic position down by your right knee. Why did you put it where you have to actively look for it ?!
