Land Rover Range Rover Evoque SUV SE P250 auto 5d Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
Its dissappointingly thirsty despite the mild hybrid system. The mild hybrid system is hidden, you dont know its state of charge you dont really even know its operating at all but the car can get off the line smartly but with 250hp on tap you might expect that . The standard of finish is reassuringly JLR with leather everywhere but still has one or 2 plasticky bits here and there. The software that runs the cameras, navigation system and screen is not he fastest and seems to get bogged down during start up from time to time. I.e jump in the car start the engine put the car in reverse and I get no reversing camera on occasions. Similar with navigation, I can drive a mile down the road before the Nav system wakes up. 360 camera and nose cameras sometimes dont come on when required. Nothing too serious but just a little frustrating to me. If you are buying this car then it's because of the style, its looks and the brand, but like all things is a bit of a compromise in compact a SUV. Oh and if you were wondering about the pop out handles, yes they can freeze shut, and ice can prevent them returning 100% flush to the body, my tip it to spray some ptfe on the mechanism before it gets icy, or course it's no problem if you keep your car under cover.
How reliable do you find the car?
Occasional software glitches with screens, and camera are somewhat annoying but they sort themselves out after a while or after a restartDoes the car do everything you expected it to do?
Yes, it's a nice premium car with nice tech but it doesnt provide any information on the mild hybrid status, the regenerative braking feels snatchy and for my driving style would benefit from comming on earlier at higher speeds say 20mph. The boot space is small.About their car
