In their own words
Car looks great sat on 22 " alloys, in silver with black contrast roof, Landrover have set it up to give a very nice blend of comfort and performance. Being in it you can appreciate how landrover really know their customers and what they want. A degree of theatre when driving it - gruff noises under acceleration, feels big as sit up high, feels like a 4x4 and a bit of a brute plus very good sound system. Had VW Touareg before was more refined especially on motorway. RR Sport has much nicer gearbox very smooth. RR Sport is nice sat in back seats, the Touareg had firmer suspension which was particularly noticeable in the back. RR Sport interior could do with more ambient lighting to give interior a lift when driving at night. Went for very highly specified HSE as you get the torsion differential rather than the electric clutch differential and do not get the low box - torsen differential giving better on road performance. Have a 21 year old P38 RR which have owned for 12 years and had to use low box about 4 times when stuck in muddy fields so didn't want it on RR Sport. Chose the 2017 RR Sport version as it does not have the dual screen, wanted dials and buttons, and the 2017 got the 10 inch updated infotainment system. Nice to use and has apple car play integration. Sometimes the whats app message reading system can be glitchy, think it is when someone sends a photo in the message.everything else works well so far no issues. The difference between my SUVs a BMW, VW and Landrovers is VW give the highest quality integration overall - no squeaks rattles, faultless infotainment etc, BMW is best quality handling, nicest to drive but feels slightly built down to a price and odd glitch on infotainment and RR has best quality components but not as well developed as an overall integrated system like the VW. But the landrover products do last and last - using my P38 as benchmark. Landrover generally cheaper to service and more honest about fuel consumption. RR Sport gives 34 mpg, VW about 30 mpg and BMW 29 mpg, complete opposite of claimed economy.
