Land Rover Range Rover (2002 - 2012) 4.4 TDV8 VOGUE 4d Auto Owner Review

Great car to drive. Comfortable, loads of space and for a big heavy 4x4 reasonably fuel efficient.
That the good parts.
This is the worst car I’ve owned for reliability.
Suspension problems, all four corners replaced, continually has suspension fault messages due to sensors.
I get fault different messages every day which do clear if I turn the ignition off then back on.
New brakes all round including front caliper ( ouch!)
But worst of all is the fact that it fights my local specialist every time it goes in for repairs or routine maintenance.
The underside of the car is was covered in rust. Not just surface but when chassis and floor were cleaned off chunks probably 1/2 mm thick came off. Brake lines , nuts , bolts etc seized. ( my mechanic stated “ what’s this car been doing, towing trawlers out of the sea?” For a renowned 4x4 the car is a rot box.
Air con compressor also failed.
Basically a shocking car which if I could afford to I blow it up on Top Gear.
