Land Rover Range Rover (2002 - 2012) 4.4 TDV8 VOGUE 4d Auto Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
Make no mistake, when these things work, not much else comes close. They are sublime and drive beautifully.
Unfortunately though, in my 12 years of experience of owning Land Rover products, they don’t work…very often at all. There’s almost always something that needs fixing, and usually very high bills to accompany the inconvenience of having the car in the garage for 2, 3 days at a time. I finally had enough when in the final year of owning what should have been my dream car, I drove it 1600 miles and spent approximately £6000 on it. Propshaft, wiper motor, alternator, sunroof leaked causing the back of the car to fill with water. This killed a lot of the electrics and la]eft me stranded in the middle of nowhere for 6 hours. It killed the parking sensor module, the front tv infotainment screen, obviously had to have the sunroof re-bonded and sealed properly again, it also had a power steering fluid leak, hideous rust and subframe corrosion, random electrical ‘restricted performance ‘ messages.
Honestly would never have another one. All I wanted was to actually reach my destination once in a while. Woeful reliability !! ( this isn’t my only Range Rover either, the other one was just as bad.
