Land Rover Range Rover 3.9 Vogue SE 4d Auto (1989/F) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Cheap to buy. Good equipment levels. Image important.
Costs
8mpg round town. Servicing every 6,000 miles - very costly. Parts hard to find and costs high.
-
On the road
Driving
Swift, fun and imposing.
Performance
Excellent. Relatively light compared to current off-roaders. Wonderful exhaust note.
-
Living with it
Reliability
Engine is reliable if fully serviced. Anarchic electrics. Headlining currently going through the menopause - sagging.
Image
Brilliant. Appeals to all. Rights all wrongs.
Comfort
Armchair comfort. 'Little finger light' steering. Air con is amusingly noisy.
-
Security and Service
Security
Rubbish. No alarm. No immobiliser. Sunroof can be opened from outside!
Service
Land Rover know nothing about their product and are very unhelpful regarding older models.
