What does this car say about you?

It says that I either have too much time on my hands or too much money - or both. Neither of which is true!

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Wife and kids love it. In fact wife as nicked it as she works a lot closer to home so its cheaper for her to run it. That explains why you see so many 4x4's on the school run! :).

Would you buy this car again and why?

Probably. It's thirstier than I expected, but when Jeeps and the like get stuck in the mud when they are towing horseboxes and I go straight through - in luxary, I remember why I got it. If you can do your own servicing, its not too bad. The air suspension bags need replacing at 10 years old as they perish, but at c£200 for a set of 4 its an easy DIY job. I changed the stat to help it warm up quicker and I do oil and filters myself. The air suspension system is actually pretty easy to work on and shouldn't put you off. Don't buy one on coils as it will be an MOT failure when the regs change!

What are you likely to buy next?

Landrover Defender - except they are dearer than Range Rovers. So probably another Range Rover.

Did you get a good deal and why?

It's the middle of a recession so I negotiated right down and was prepared to walk away. In fact I did walk away! :).

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Needed a "go anywhere" tow car for a horse box and always fancied a Range Rover.

What was the dealer like?

Ok, nothing special.

What's it like to drive?

The 2.5D is very underpowered. I knew that before I purchased it, but it still is. Very unresponsive from cold. Now I've changed the stat it warms up better. Fuel economy is worse than I was expecting, but it runs happily on bio-diesel with no mods.

What's it like to park?

Fine.

No

What's most practical about your car?

Massive boot and massive towing limit!

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Air suspension is fantastic.
