Lexus CT (2011 - 2020) 200h 1.8 S 5d CVT Auto Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
the reality of owning a Lexus seems to be totally at odds with the motoring press, having owned four over the last 15 years, they have all been superb cars, and the ct200 is no exception. Driving on today's UK roads, filled with speed humps, cameras and traffic lights, a car that is comfortable, quiet, economical and above all, reliable, far outweighs any need for sub 8 second 0 to 60 speeds, and the CT handles superbly, despite reports of its 'harsh ride' in the press. It returns 55 mpg, has more than enough acceleration at the push of a button (sport mode) and is silent when using the electric drive in town traffic. The hybrid system tops up the batteries really quickly and it is surprising how much time you realise you spend travelling in stop start traffic when you get used to switching on 'ev' mode, which uses battery power only and is totally silent. The interior is superb, having looked at numerous bland German competitors, and as always with Lexus, the seats and general ergonomics are second to none. I have learned to ignore the press, and look at what is really important in getting from a to b in today's world. If you want a car that delivers faultless reliability, is comfortable, economical and has better quality in its detail, such as seats, paintwork etc, then buy a Lexus. Every one I have previously owned (is200, is250) have been snapped up within hours when I put them on autotrader with 80000 plus miles on the clock, because there are a lot of people out there who get why Lexus are a cut above the majority of modern cars.
