Lexus ES Saloon 300h E-CVT auto 4d Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
Main issue as mentioned above is the painful track pad operation for sat nav & audio. Really not user friendly, as need to be so precise when selecting the icons, letters & numbers on display screen, so too easy to click on wrong item. Even the salesperson took ages to enter a postcode as kept missing the letters when he demonstrated it. Slow and awkward to operate with left hand and also the gear stick gets in the way as positioned right next to the pad. Designers need to look at a more practical and easier to operate system preferably a touch screen one. No idea who thought this system was suitable to use by a driver on the move.
Wing mirrors need to be positioned further forward to accommodate different seat positions, otherwise good all round visibility.
Willing to put up with these issues as I love the luxury feel of this car overall and enjoy driving it as it has excellent acceleration, smooth transmission, quiet ride at all speeds. Comfortable seating and enough height and leg room for my 6ft 3 hubby in front & back. Boot has more than enough space for a couple of suitcases.
How reliable do you find the car?
not had it long enough to find out about problems yetDoes the car do everything you expected it to do?
As I am 4ft 11, I need the position being very far forward which results in the wing mirrors being too far back so have to turn my head deliberately to see them. The side console button disappears behind side of seat, so difficult to press to open without moving seat back. Hate the track pad as awkward to use with left hand whilst driving. Takes ages to enter post code, find radio etc. Prefer touch screen in the Prius which is quick & easy. No rear wipers or heated windscreen which are essential for the British weather. Indicator very loud clicking noise & ultra sensitive when flicking off as immediately goes into opposite direction instead of back to middle position. Expectations were met on the smooth quiet transmission and love the overall drive and comfort. The Titanium colour is fab & adds to the luxury appearance. Boot is spacious enough for most needs.About their car
