Economy
Value
Costly new but a better buy second-hand particularly when you compare the spec with German rivals. Dashboard and door materials have clearly been lifted out of a Toyota which doesn't make it feel special enough inside.
Costs
MPG between 21 & 24 round town. No more than 29-30 on a gentle run. Servicing costs better than Merc and at least they know what they are doing unlike Merc dealers.

Driving
Very Quiet engine, smooth auto box, some tyre noise but otherwise very refined, the refinement does result in a slightly detached driving experience. Great equipment levels and the SAT NAV is the best I have used.
Performance
Quick enough - if floored the horizon appears at an indecent rate. I find the handling is fine but low speed ride is a little unsettled - great motorway car though.

Living with it
Reliability
Nothing so far which is the main reason I bought it.
Image
Not yet as good as Mercs etc - In the US yes but in the UK not yet - Will never sell in the same numbers from new - UK buyers prefer the prestige of the Germans compared to the higher equipment levels and refinement offered by Lexus.
Comfort
Very good seats with lots of electric adjustment. - Seat could do with being a tad lower on the lowest setting.

Security and Service
Service
Excellent service so far - red carpet treatment all the way.
