Lexus IS Saloon (1999 - 2005) 2.0 SE 4d Auto Owner Review

This car is a joy to drive automatic with good comfort and build quality. It handles well on motorway driving for periods of 5 hours with little or no discomfort. Its been extremely reliable only needing servicing once a year, cam belt and two 12 volt batteries replaced. The only drawback is it is a bit thirsty on the petrol maximum I have got out of it is 36mpg on a long run to London from Newcastle. Usually averages around 21 to 26mpg which is not great compared with cars these days however what price comfort and power when you need it. The other problem is that the government are trying to tax it of the road being old school and a bit of pollution to the environment.. My wife mainly drives this car and finds it easy to park and relaxing to drive. Also I must mention that Lexus Customer service is in a class of its own.
