Lexus IS Saloon (1999-2005) interior, tech and comfort

The Lexus stylists didn’t hold back when they designed the interior. It’s a question of taste: some see it as sporty and dynamic; others find it overblown and a little tacky. Steering wheel doesn’t adjust for reach but most can get comfortable and otherwise the driving position is sporty and comfortable.
Room in the back for two adults thanks to the transmission tunnel and they won’t have loads of room, but those in the front will be fine. Sporting personality means some engine and road noise but this sort of suits it (until you have to do Newbury to Newcastle in one hit). Legroom for rear passengers is a bit tight.
