Lexus IS Saloon (2005 - 2012) 250 SE-L 4d Owner Review

I bought this car for long motorway and A road driving - for that its perfect! Satnav excellent and the ML sound system superb. Engine is quiet and V6 very smooth with an Auto box - don't bother with a manual. Can get 40mpg, on the motorway. On B roads as well it can be quick, just needs placing and thinking about. The ride is superb on these smaller wheels over the poor roads we have, much better than my previous bone-jarring VW's and Mercedes. Standard kit is very high spec, SEL is everything plus, something you still don't get with equivalent German cars. Rear camera AND reversing sensors a nice touch. Auto everything and small touches like puddle lights under the mirrors show the thought put in to the design. Rear seat room is ample for the family, as is the big boot and nice to still get a spare wheel! Seats are great, plenty of storage and the kids happy in the back. Would have liked fold down rear seats - but they did come on the next model. Not much missed here.
