Summary
What does this car say about you?
Don't care what it says, I want the car not an image
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Initially sceptical, now they know the running costs are minimal and it doesn't force us to feed the kids gruel, they love it.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes, if I had the space and money would have one from every generation.
What are you likely to buy next?
Nothing, this is a once in a lifetime deal.
-
Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Independent
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£21,500
When did you buy the car?
May 2003
Did you get a good deal and why?
No, but can't be fussy on price with a car they made less than 200 of when you want a specific colour and spec
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Wanted one for years
What was the dealer like?
Dreadful, just the worst experience of my entire life.
-
Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Fast, ride quality pretty good for what it is. Only trouble is being an old design there's very little adjustment for comfort, ie fixed steering wheel which is set too low.
What's it like to park?
Power steering makes it easy
-
Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Nothing really
What's most practical about your car?
Surprising amount of luggage space for a sportscar, enough for a short European trip. Getting in and out is the trickiest thing especially when you get over 40 years of age!
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
This car has no gadgets! If I was to choose would say the air conditioning for summer holidays abroad.
