Maserati Ghibli V6 4d Auto Owner Review

The badge seduced me into ignoring the reviews we read. Yes it sounds like a race car, its got room enough for 4 adults and luggage. BUT...Its had two recalls in the time we have had it. It suffered a flat battery meaning we had to have it picked up and taken away for a week before it was returned. It has not returned yet from its second recall because we drew attention to a clunk from the passenger seat when we took it to the service department; along with the intermittent airbag fault. The car was in with them 29/08/16. I have had one phone-call at the end of the first week to let me know they were still waiting for the part. I have had to tell them I'm not laughing now still waiting. The cynic in me says the repair department are dealing with more lucrative repairs rather than the warranty repairs. I was aware of the disadvantage of a 3 hour drive to the dealer; I was willing to be patient and to put up with the inconvenience but I would tell people to avoid one now! I'd love to tell you all how it drives but I've forgotten. To be truthful they have lent me a diesel ghibli but its not my car and although I'm using it I'm desperately trying not to in case it gets damaged and we have to deal with a whole new set of problems. Oh and the diesel lacks all the drama. Its quick but it feels much like the E-class I had: not special enough. Patiently waiting to find a way out of the badge.
