Mazda 121 Saloon 1.3i GLX 4d Auto (1991/H) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Good value for city driving.
Costs
Very economical fuel-wise, but the radiator needed replacing and she drinks oil.
-
On the road
Driving
After 13 years, she tends to struggle a little, especially on the highway.
Performance
Does 140km/h downhill with the wind behind her or 110 uphill! Very nippy in the city, good breaks and light to manoeuvre.

Living with it
Reliability
Engine overheating may disrupt the occasional long journey. To be expected after 217,000 km?
Image
Referred to as a bubble or a top hat, it's not the most stylish car, but it doesn't look as old as other cars of the same age.
Comfort
Good driving position and comfortable for long distances.

Security and Service
Security
A 1989 VW golf driver's door swung open and crumpled the right wing like a crisp packet, not very reassuring...
