Driving it
What's it like to drive?
The front seats are extremely comfortable and a good ‘long journey’ driving position is easily obtainable. The dash layout and leather wheel rim and gear selector look and feel good. I love the gear change, which is short, positive and slick. The gear ratios are spot on. With experience they can provide brisk overtaking or unfussed, economical cruising. Handling is very well planted and predictable but the ride is still jarring over typical minor road repairs and damaged surfaces, although the ride has improved with the increase in mileage. The engine cruises quietly and economically, achieving a best so far of 54.6 on a 190 mile round trip to the North Yorkshire coast. When revved hard the engine emits a purposeful growl and third provides fluid acceleration for safe overtaking.
What's it like to park?
Very easy to see out of, with a useful turning circle.
