Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchised
Did you buy this car new?
Yes
What price did you pay?
£19,750
When did you buy the car?
September 2014
Did you get a good deal and why?
Had lots of test drives during the summer so we knew exactly what we wanted. Mazda 3 diesel was the best fit to our requirements. Decided on model and looked for quotes online to understand what discount we should aim for. Went to dealer in September and stated what we wanted - dealer matched price asked for.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
What was the dealer like?
OK reluctant at first to let us have an unaccompanied test drive - but this was not unusual in our experience. Once we agreed a price there was some limited attempts to lock us into getting the car serviced with the dealer.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Powerful enough on motorways. Reasonable in town given the engine size. Noisier on the motorway than I would like. The entertainment system takes time to adjust to and tethering to a smartphone can be tricky.
What's it like to park?
Sensors essential but otherwise no problem.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
No
What's most practical about your car?
Keyless entry - no fumbling with the key fob while trying to load the car.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Keyless entry. Front and rear parking sensors. Bluetooth and USB connectivity with smartphone. Power-adjustable driver's seat.
