Mazda 323 Fastback 1.5 LXi 5d (1997/P) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Quite a distinctive and affordable used buy.
Costs
Parts seem expensive, but reliability means you don't need many parts...
-
On the road
Driving
I am a 6 footer; room in the front is a bit of a crush.
Performance
This car looks faster than it is, but the amount of power is sufficient.
-
Living with it
Reliability
Excellent.
Image
A very 'pretty' car. Mazda's styling department must have been given free reign when they put this design together. There is no continuity between this model and its successor.
Comfort
There are more comfortable cars, but its looks make up for any mild discomfort on long runs.

Security and Service
Security
The car seems vulnerable - particularly the 'frameless' sporty side windows are probably easy to overcome by a thief...
Service
Never had to call on manufacturer.
