Mazda 323 Fastback 2.0i V6 ZXi 5d (1998/S) Owner Review

Economy
Value
Worth every £ you spend and spend well, as low value cars will not have been serviced and that's going to cost.
Costs
Expensive parts and drinks juice, but it's a V6, so no surprise there.

On the road
Driving
Handles like a dream and clings to bends like glue.
Performance
You will see most things off with this beasty - up to 4000rpm and it's civilised - 4000rpm plus. HANG ON coz that's where the kick is... Yahoo!!

Living with it
Reliability
So far, so good... always starts, but then it's a Mazda.
Image
Rare and beautiful - and you don't hear people say that about many Japanese cars...
Comfort
Firm, but very comfatable and well equipped... lacks cruise control, which would have been nice, but eats the miles. I suffer from a bad back and this car has not caused me any trouble at all.

Security and Service
Security
Mine has immobilser and central remote locking - adequate. Rough area? Fit an alarm. Oh, and take the stero front off - it's usually what they are after in Mazdas...
Service
My local dealer is ok, but they have tried to sting me several times... I am a little wiser than I was a few years ago, so no dice guys... You must keep it serviced!! Or you will get stung BIG STYLE!!
