Mazda 323 Hatchback 1.3i LX 3d (1993/L) Owner Review

Economy
Value
Bought second hand, paid a very good price
Costs
Fuel economy okay. Part prices average too

On the road
Driving
Possibly the easiest car to drive though gearbox can be awkward when cold. Very undemanding and uninvolving. That said, it corners better than expected
Performance
It can actually be quite quick particularly above 40mph. Not great in town. Engine is so noisy it doesn't inspire quick driving

Living with it
Reliability
Unsure, done 5,000 miles in 4 months and it has been fine so far. It is a Mazda though, so quality in most cases goes without saying
Image
For the age of the car, it has some nice lines. Dated now, but I think it looks good. Better than the 1981-1989 shape!
Comfort
Very comfortable, roomy and interior ambience is warm
