Mazda 323 Hatchback 1.8i GT 3d (1992/J) Owner Review

Economy
Value
Cost me next-to-nothing, but good examples can a be a bit pricey due to rarity.
Costs
Reasonable petrol consumption. Bit thirsty around town though, or when I drive it hard.

Driving
Power steering is a bit too light for my liking. Makes the driving experience a bit hairy. However, with good tyres, you could sling it into corners at some ridiculous speeds! The stiff suspension helps.
Performance
Engine is smooth, but you really need to use the revs if you want to really shift. It picks up well after about 4,000 miles and doesn't stop 'til the red line.

Living with it
Reliability
Excellent - starts every time. No problems at all, though haven't had it long.
Image
Looks a bit daft from behind... and in front for that matter. Not to worry though - it goes like... well, you get the picture.
Comfort
Because it's the top of the range (I think) it's got loads of stuff in it - leccy windows, bucketed seats, leccy sunroof and all that stuff - Very comfy, if a little small for a man of my stature!

Security and Service
Security
Alarm and immobiliser as standard - don't know if they're any good though as I'm not a car thief...
