Mazda 6 Estate (2008 - 2012) 2.2d (163bhp) TS2 (2010) 5d Owner Review

In their own words
Needed a a car with enough space for bikes/scooters and suitcases for a family of 4, who were only going to get bigger and take up more room!
My husband had a Mazda 6 Saloon (58 plate) at the time, which had nearly 200k on the clock and was what we used for holidays. When I needed to replace my old car we decided that I needed the larger car as I do most of the taxi driving for the kids! We knew that the Mazda 6 had a nice large boot that could fit all luggage we would ever need, and the ability to have roof racks and boot racks for bikes etc. The car is spacious and comfortable even for my 6'5" husband, and really great fun to drive when the roads allow! It has good visibility and is one of the most reliable cars I have ever owned. Apart from the battery requiring replacing at about 90k, we have had no trouble with it.
It was not specified with built in satnav or DAB radio, but that does not bother me! I have a phone and the system can pick up my Bluetooth and play anything I want via my phone. I can not recommend this car highly enough. Reliable, well designed and sturdy.
It may not be the most luxurious vehicle, but it has everything you will need, will rarely breakdown and when it does, is reasonably cheap to repair. Alongside my H (1991) plate Mazda MX-5 which was over 20 years old when I got it, it is the most reliable car I have ever owned. My husband's Mazda 6 which was a 58 plate, only started showing its age at around 200k when we replaced it. Highly recommend.
