Summary
What does this car say about you?
I have heard people say that white car drivers are all idiots. I am a white car driver as are most of the policemen in the UK. I bought a white Mazda6 for safety first and I really like the look of the car. If a car makes a statement about the driver, then is says about me: He's middle of the road [not in the middle of the road] and has an eye for beauty.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They are all impressed in just about every way.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Of course, this is the first Japanese car I have owned and it won't be the last.
What are you likely to buy next?
Mazda6 - the new model is even better to look at than mine.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchised
Did you buy this car new?
Yes
What price did you pay?
£21,500
When did you buy the car?
March 2012
Did you get a good deal and why?
Yes I believe I did get a good deal from the Mazda dealer. Top dollar for my Mondeo Estate and zero VAT.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
I've always liked the look of the 6, its flowing lines and profile.
What was the dealer like?
I've had the first service with them and found them helpful and polite, no problems with the car.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Brilliant, I find the 6 Estate solid in handling and steering with excellent acceleration from the 2.2 diesel. I have only called on the ABS system once which worked better that any other ABS I have engaged.
What's it like to park?
I have the TS2 which has parking sensors front and rear. The sensors also cover the side approaches as well. Therefore, when I park under my car-port which can be tight, I don't have any problems.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
No.
What's most practical about your car?
Loading space. I am a landlord by profession and need plenty of room to move all kinds of things - the load space is good.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
I had illuminated aluminum kick plates fitted when I bought the car. This gives a show of class to the vehicle and is often remarked on by passengers. Also I want to mention the RVM [rear vehicle monitoring] an excellent invention that has moved me out of a dodgy position more than once.
