Mazda 6 Estate (2012 - 2023) 2.0 Sport Nav 5d Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
As a family estate for four adults with a dog it's superb. But, it also looks fabulous and draws comments, even from strangers in car parks, with those that ride in it being even more impressed that it's so well equipped, comfortable and quiet. Dynamically it's lovely to drive, though the petrol engine could use another 20BHP to really cut it. That said, take it easy with the throttle (under 75,and modest acceleration) a long run will return over 50mpg, which is huge for such a large and comfortable car, but easily achievable. Equipment levels are really good, with the Bose sound system really impressing with the Centrepoint system working brilliantly, with live music in particular. My issues relate only to the infotainment system, in that it randomly restarts very occasionally and the Gracenote functionality relies on updates that Mazda advertise as being available every 6-months. The last one was issued in Jun 2018, so makes the voice recognition of music after this date useless with multiple dealers not even aware of what it is. Also Mazda dealers are not always familiar with the EFB battery requirements and can be unhelpful when you seek Service details such as bolt torque settings etc, to undertake DIY on the car. Mazda Dealers are generally excellent, but significantly overshadowed for customer service by Honda, my previous car manufacturer.
How reliable do you find the car?
