This is my first Mazda, and my first diesel. I bought it for a long motorway commute. It's economical - lower tax than my wife's 1.6 petrol, and returns around 50 mpg from a 2.2 engine. It's comfortable and well equipped - the infotainment system is good, if a bit complicated and with the occasional irritating bug. Looks good, without being too flash, and is appealingly different from the Fords and Audis crowding the carriageway. Spacious too - easily takes 4 adults + dog + luggage. Early days yet, but extremely pleased so far.
