Mazda 6 Estate (2012 - 2023) 2.2d SE-L Nav 5d Owner Review

Brought this car with 14000 miles on the clock and for a few years i was very happy great on MPG sometimes hitting 70mpg, plenty of power comfortable with plenty of space, I use the car for work up and down the country doing motorway miles. I had to have the wing mirrors replaced due to water ingres killing the electrics and stopping them from power folding. replaced under warranty from Mazda. No issues for a few years then around 70k found the engine a little sluggish and MPG went down, Regens on the DPF where happening every 100 miles instead of the previous 200 miles, did a check on the MAP sensor to find it clogged in carbon, took it to the garage and they said the engine was clogged up with carbon ( the engine killer and would be a big job to clean it out properly at a cost of £1000+ but would need doing every few years with the millage i was doing, apparently this is a well known issue but mazda wash there hands of it , i used decent fuel and when i could only fill with standard diesel and used a additive. I part ex'd it for a different make of car in fear of a massive bill for a full engine strip down,
