Mazda 6 Estate (2012 - 2023) 2.2d SE-L Nav 5d Owner Review

In their own words
Was looking for something to replace my Volvo V50 as I needed something a bit more modern and more space. Have been very impressed with the Mazda. Lots of room for front and rear seat passengers. I am 6'3" and can sit comfortable in the rear with the front seat set for my driving position. The interior materials feel quality and well put together. Maybe not quite on par with VW and Audi, but still excellent. The 2.2 diesel is quiet and powerful. The 150bhp version is not the fastest off the lights, but has excellent mid range pull and 50-80mph performance allows safe overtaking. With £20 a year tax and 55mpg average over A roads for me, its at least as economical as the Volvo it replaced but has much more power and handles much better. For a large car is fun co chuck around but the steering can feel a bit disconnected from the wheels, I would prefer weightier steering feedback but the light steering makes town driving and manouvering a doddle. Infotainment and sat nav is nicely intergrated, but the satnav interface is a bit clumsy to program your destination but works fine once your on route. Conencts nicely to your phone to stream Spotify etc and the steering wheel controls work the phone nicely. All in all its a great all rounder, very comfortable for a tall driver, fun to drive for a large wagon, and costs pennies to run. Lower spec models lack a few toys you find on newer rivals cars, but still does everything you need and more. I bought mine at 4 years old, and for used values are very very competive against the likes of Mondeos and VW's. Worth a look.
