Summary
What does this car say about you?
Not much.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Not much, ordinary.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Never, too many major faults (catalytic converter, Air Con) for a new car.
What are you likely to buy next?
Honda Civic Type R

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchise
Did you buy this car new?
Yes
What price did you pay?
£14,995
When did you buy the car?
November 2006
Did you get a good deal and why?
No, they agreed to pay 4K for my part-ex and 6.3% finance APR. I decided to buy the car after coming back from my holidays. But they reduced the part-ex to 3600 and 13.5% for not taking the deal 8 days earlier, which I admit I wish I cancelled the deal.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
So called reliability.
What was the dealer like?
Awful, DO NOT TRUST THEM, specially the one on Bolton. Get your deal agreement in writing and signed. Specially watch out for £250 rip-off charge to transfer the car ownership to you at the end of your finance term.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Fantastic handling ability. Tons of grip. Steering is very direct and precise. Good brakes with real bite.
What's it like to park?
Not good, poor rear visibility caused by rear spoiler.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
From week one, catalytic converter was faulty needed replacing. Air conditioning not effective and it needs re-gassing. Alternator belt tensioners noisy need replacing. So much for a so called reliable car! Front passenger door and boot not shutting properly require hard slam to shut. Lots of interior rattles. The monochrome SmartNav is real piece of junk and it was a afterthought, not matching with the dashboard, and not fitted by the factory.
What's most practical about your car?
Hatchback practicality, cupholders, rear legroom.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Cruise Control.
