Summary
What does this car say about you?
Smart and executive. Understated and quietly efficient, and very reliable.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Smart, high build quality, drive, handling, interior space, No fuss, but does what a practical and comfortable medium- to long-distance motorway cruiser is required to. Discrete styling is a wise aspect, as Mazda's don't incite envy/resentment!).
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes, if still needed a larger/cruiser sized car. Probably upgrade to latter (Mark II) 2007 onwards model.
What are you likely to buy next?
Depends on requirements. Will keep this vehicle for a few more years, as no need to change yet. Otherwise, eco-vehicle next time around..?

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Very responsive. Steering brakes and handling very good and intuitive. This, the 2 litre version not too over-powered.
What's it like to park?
Prettty good for the size (executive/large); visibility good in this regard.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Nothing, apart from one sheared RH drive shaft (may have been previous wear/incident, which eventually gave way).
What's most practical about your car?
Driver comfort and position. Passenger space and comfort / ride. Boot / hatchback space very generous. Easy to park for such a large vehicle.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
N/a. Sole complaint is the headlights! Whereas high-beam and parking lights are fine, the normal (dipped) driving lights fittings/outputs are small, dull and gloomy even with bulb upgrade (fitting/reflector?better on e.g. old Mazda 626).
