Mazda 6 Hatchback (2002 - 2007) 2.3 Sport 5d (6) Owner Review

Good: It had a good Bose sound system. Looks good Twin exhaust (Custom). Large boot Lots of space for passengers Bad: Complete rust bucket! Poor MPG Large engine for relatively small power output (164bhp) I bought the car for £1k and it had 78k on the clock, within 2 months it developed a misfire which within the space of 2 weeks lead to complete engine failure which was not diagnosed properly and left me nearly £800 out of pocket as the garage had no idea what the actual problem was, in the end they decided it must have been head gasket failure, the garage 'fixed' it but in less than a week later problems were still apparent, I quickly part exchanged it to a garage and bought something for a little more money and a lot more reliable. The garage scrapped it. Other things in my 3 months of ownership included new front breaks and calipers, welding on both front jacking points.
