Summary
What does this car say about you?
Practical family man who still likes to drive a good looking car which still stands out a bit against other large family hatchbacks.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They all like it and it still gets some looks from passers by, as this model comes with tinted windows, pearlescent white paint and nice 18 inch alloys.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Probably, no reason not to really.
What are you likely to buy next?
Larger family estate - probably Audi A4 Avant.

WhatCar? Family Car of the Year 2010. Great Euro NCAP rating. Good Spec. Great discounted price as pre-reg from Mazda dealer.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
It quite smooth but does need a downshift or two more than would be nice to overtake or get up a steep hill. The 2.0 litre (155ps) petrol engine is sufficient but it's not an especially light car so can feel a little sluggish sometimes.
What's it like to park?
Visibility is average and so it's sometimes a bit tricky to judge when reversing, especially with a boot spoiler which looks good but is less practical when parking. Rear parking sensors option would have been favourable but a factory extra.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Just very creaky drivers seat which I've found is a common problem with this model. Seat frame needs removing from rails and lubricating at each service.
What's most practical about your car?
Very generous boot space, just big enough for general carting about of family and all the associated gubbins.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Bluetooth connectivity.
