Summary
What does this car say about you?
It doesn't talk other than via blue tooth! It could say that I like a sporty looking and driving family car but I am easliy fooled by Mazda's claimed fuel economy which isn't acheivable with moderate driving.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They are impressed by what you get for the money.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Possibly. Pro's - its excellent value, relatively rare and is driver focused. Con's - easily damaged fog lights, alloy wheel corrosion and poor fuel economy i.e. 41-43 mpg for normal mixed driving. 50 mpg for long slow jurneys. With real worId driving its not much more econicaly than the 2.5 petrol. PS Some reviews gripe about the sound system and the power - all of which is ridiculous. The sound system reception is better than every afternmaker System I have installed as is the sound quality. Low engine noise, a sorted chassis and smooth power results in deceptive performance.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Great - it out handles my Mondeo ST24 but has a firmer ride so it depends what you want. The brakes and steering are nicely weighted and the power delivery is smooth. The gearbox is excellent despite the poor 2nd gear syncro.
What's it like to park?
A family sized car with parking sensors! It also has windows you can look out of so no worries there.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
A few things - the starter soleniod wire had a poor contact leading to an AA visit. The alloys corroding. The fog lights lenses smash easily and the syncro on 2nd gear is getting week with high milage.
What's most practical about your car?
Having 5 doors which open.... ohh and it starts and stops (usually).
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
The Bose sound system is great and the rear view monitors are especially useful when driving in poor conditions at night (in a car with tinted rear windows).
