Summary
What does this car say about you?
It says I am sensible.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They wouldn't want to pay £475 a year for road tax. They are surprised it gets 23 to 31 mpg around town and over 34 mpg on a run.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes, particularly now as it is a huge amount of car for a bargain price at present.
What are you likely to buy next?
Hydrogen or electric powered.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Independent
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£10,000
When did you buy the car?
September 2009
Did you get a good deal and why?
Yes because it was a trade-in at a Ford Dealers and they wanted to off-load it,.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
It is built like the Yamato; heavy, rigid safe and sturdy. It is very well equipped; sunroof and air-con and exclusive; less than a thousand on the roads now.
What was the dealer like?
Polite, personable and professional.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Very quiet, surefooted and refined. You can tootle and waft about, or the baseball cap can reverse and it will dance. Very much a sophisticated cruiser rather than a rally slag.
What's it like to park?
I have electromagnetic parking sensor all round so it is easy. It has quite a large turning circle, however the smooth clutch and throttle and great visibility offset this.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
It has never failed to proceed.
What's most practical about your car?
The 4WD system. It is a true all season vehicle; brilliant in the rain and with winter tyres virtually unstoppable in the snow. You can also drop the back seats; with a little modification, you just need to add the release handles and cables.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
The X-Carlink allows hands free calls, iPod, MP3, SD card etc connectivity.
