Mazda 6 (2013 - 2022) 2.0 SE 4d Owner Review

Early days, replaced a Mondeo 1.6 Ecoboost. Exactly 190kg lighter which has given improved MPG to 40. (Mondeo 36). Build quality is also better than Mondeo with compatable performance. The "6" is very nimble and makes for easier overtaking on A roads but because 60 MPH matches 2000 revs the gearbox needs to be changed down by one, two or even three gears Seats and controls are well designed but the steering is over sensitive. Comfort is good but is impacted by tyre pressures, slightly under pressure gives best ride. Visibility could be better and is affected by "wedge" design with high rear window making reversing very difficult. The "Six's" styling does limit practicality, but gets it noticed. There have been many favourable comments. I do not like the electronic parking brake and would rather have seperate radio controls. Sat nav is an extra £700 so I will do without. Overall, similiar to a Mondeo but with better build quality, MPG and driving experence.
