Mazda 6 (2013 - 2022) 2.2d SE-L Nav 4d Auto Owner Review

From a bmw 3 series 09 owner to mazda 6 17 reg. As you would expect it's less powerful and responsive. That is to be expected but also it is less frugal on fuel as my old 3 which surprised me as so many reviews praised how efficient the 6 is. The biggest issue I have had is turning the car off. The engine turns off but not the infotainment system and you have to play between neutral and parked to get it turn off. There are a number of mentions on the internet about this problem as well as videos on how to fix it. When I went to my local mazda garage the rather unhelpful assistant insisted it's only in US cars, even though I had evidence to the contrary. Such are the hazards of buying a car during a pandemic and not being able to test drive it... Aside from this, I would absolutely recommend this car, it drives extremely well, feels like a big car, well designed and put together with lots of kit, the steering is especially impressive, a solid choice for a family car and should be shortlisted if you are in the market.
