Car looks great on paper unfortunately a well documented engine design fault makes this car an expensive liability. Do not touch it with a barge pole!
Mazda support is non-existent as the engines fail after the warranty expires. Mazda know of the issues but do not inform their clients. Same problems apply to mazda 3 and CX models as well as some Ford models that share the engine platform.
How reliable do you find the car?
Mazda know that the oil pickup clogs but do not bother to service it as it is "advisory" result the engine seized at 102000 miles despite a full service history at local mazda dealer. Attitude of mazda was "tough we known there is a problem, but dont advise owners as the enh=gines fail outside of guarantee!" Car was designed by an accountant not an engineer!About their car
