Mazda CX-5 SUV 2.0 MHEV Exclusive-Line 5dr Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
Have had the car for one month. Generally it is great. The driver environment is very good. The head up display is a game changer. Pretty quiet most of the time, and the Bose sound system is fantastic. Very nice to drive. Have not found the 2.0L petrol engine underpowered as many professional reviews report. Even with a fully loaded car it has been absolutely fine. What it is not so good: a few bizarre design features that are annoying. Firstly you can't clear the dew from the windows by winding them down as you can in every other car I've driven. That is really annoying. Secondly, no heated side mirrors, which is odd on a car that has every other mod con. So, on a misty wet day, you have to manually wipe all the windows and mirrors before driving. Why! Thirdly, there seems to be no way to remotely close the windows, as you can in other cars, so if your children leave their rear windows down when returning home at night, they will stay down all night unless you notice. Finally the i-stop feature very rarely comes on. Perhaps I've got a bad battery, although no other effects of that. Apart from all these minor odd issues, it is still a really nice car to own and drive.
How reliable do you find the car?
A minor problem is that the i-stop function rarely ever comes on
