Mazda MPV (1999 - 2004) 2.0 5d (02) Owner Review

A shock!! I would not give this car to my worst enemy!! Wanted a reliable Jap 7 seater, later found out this thing is made by Ford with the most unreliable 2.0D Ford engine!!! The first few months i had the car was problem free, then i have had a nightmare with it. Drop links have gone like water from a tap. Knocking and metal banging when driving for over 1 year now, no one can find the source. Car has lost power in engine. Fuel gauge went 10 months ago. Clutch and flywheel went 1 year ago. Electric windows switch came loose 2 months ago. Sliding door cards keep falling off. Engine keeps turning it's self back off for 1 year now. Last week the brakes packed up, you can only stop the car with the hand brake!! For 2 years now the windscreen leaks in water, water pumps into the cabin when it rains heavy! Bulbs seem to blow monthly. Black and Blue smoke poor out the car when not in use for 2 or more days! AVOID at all costs!!!! You are better off buying a Citroen! Parts are not possible to get anymore, as confirmed by mazda! My coolant pipe corroded and leaked 1lt of coolant in 5 hours, Mazda said the pipe would cost £260 and take 3 months to get, then they said no more parts are being made for this car other than service parts and i must deal with Ford. A shocking truth! AVOID MAZDA LIKE THE PLAGUE !!!!!! If i was Mazda i would be shamed to put the Mazda logo on something like this!
