Mazda MX-3 1.8i 3d (1998/R) Owner Review

Economy
Value
Nothing compared from new for the spec, size, space and individuality.
Costs
Yes Puma/Tigra are named as competition, but they are tiny. BMW 318i/320i coupe a better example. Now go and price these for servicing and you'll almost die of shock! Fair prices for parts/ service. Average 30-32mpg for last 5 yrs.

On the road
Driving
Good handling, responsive, great driving position and I'm 6ft. It is more a cruiser than a sports car, but you know that.
Performance
Turn the radio off and listen to that V6 sing- gorgeous! If anything, slightly short geared. Could easily handle more power. 4th gear overtaking average.

Living with it
Reliability
Fantastic! Superb. What do you need to know: it's a Mazda and it's never let me down.
Image
Always had cars not from the masses. Different, individual. Who wants a common old Beemer or an expensive tiny Puma with dreadful blind spots?
Comfort
Great front seat support. Who buys a coupe for their rear passengers? Ideal for my children!

Security and Service
Security
Factory immobiliser good. I had full alarm system fitted. Locked my keys in once and called AA out. He could not break in!
Service
Tunbridge Wells Mazda made me feel welcome from my first service through to 78K service. Polite, helpful and professional.
