Mazda MX-3 1.8i SE 3d (1997/P) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Only £3400 with nice big wheels and warranty.
Costs
Likes the petrol… but what's the point of having it if your not gonna 'drive' it…
-
On the road
Driving
Holds corners really nicely, even with a full load…
Performance
Had mine 0-60 in about 7 secs… not bad at all… The V6 is smoooth as bits and sounds great, puts the typical 'boy racers' with their saxo VTs with their big exhausts to shame, only been ripped by a new BMW M3 so far :)

Living with it
Reliability
Hasn't failed once… Response gets better as it heats up naturally but other than that perfect.
Image
Mmm, for £3500 with a nice set of 17s or 18s looks great… I'd go for red or black. I have seen some silver ones and I don't think it suits silver much.
Comfort
It's comfy in the front anyway, only sat in the back once… not soo good for tall people in the back but once you get in and settled it's alright.

Security and Service
Security
I have an aftermarket alarm system and I live in a smallish town so no bother for me but apperently the magazines etc recommend alarms etc.
Service
Didn't buy from Mazda, bought from a small garage… no complaints and with a warranty I'm sorted!

Problems and Ownership
Problems
Engine
No problems… open the bonnet, the bay looks real nice and full.
Other
Go for it… £3500? You're not gonna get a car with a nicer look or performance for this price at this age.
