Economy
Value
These cars do not feel like Japanese cars, but very British. Mazda have definately done something right with them. Slow depreciation, but prices tend to rise and fall in the summer and winter.
Costs
Glad to see them become affordable, but Japenese Eunos depricate the value of UK. Beware of the square number plates that tells it's a Eunos from miles away.

On the road
Driving
Awesome to drive, but that's if you have always driven normal saloons. Fun to drive in the summer with that sweet hum from the exhaust.
Performance
1.6i a little underpowered for Roadsters, so go for the 1.8i. Beware of the rusted sills if looking for a second-hand one.

Living with it
Reliability
Very reliable with the engine, electrics and heaters. My car is 13 years old and nearly a classic. Well, it feels like one!
Image
I have to agree with Parkers for 5 star image rating. These cars still turn heads apart from white MX5s.
Comfort
It's comfortable enough for me, but older people may find it too difficult to get in and out, as the cars are a bit small and low. May be tight with the legroom for large people.

Security and Service
Security
Easy to break in, as all convertables. Go for the hard-top if you have the space for it.
Service
Bristol Mazda dealership is a little more helpful than the one in Coventry.
