Economy
Value
Excellent value for money. Can't get a sports convertable with the same spec for the price.
Costs
Low to insure if you do so via the MX5 club. Only costly item is a new hood (should you need one). You can fit this yourself to keep the cost down.
-
On the road
Driving
Brilliant on country roads, but lacks power on motorways.
Performance
Fairly economical, high consumption at high revs.

Living with it
Reliability
3 years and 65,000 miles resulted in 2 new tyres and an exhaust pipe. Rock like reliability, never failed on me.
Image
Good for the price.
Comfort
Not bad. I'm 6'2" so it got a little tight on long journeys.
