Economy
Value
£14,000 for a car with 2 seats...still its the best value in its class by far. I didnt want to trade it in, but needs must. Good thing is that the MX5 holds its value well so I got a good trade in!
Costs
It only has a 1.6 engine, but boy does it guzzle fuel!

Driving
Looks good, drives better! You really can't beat driving with the roof down...you know you want to!
Performance
Not blisteringly quick, but I still managed to get the rear end to wiggle a bit. Needs more power!!!!

Living with it
Reliability
Never a single problem.
Image
Can be viewed as a bit of a hand bag. Man it up a bit by adding a grille and some nice big alloys and it looks the dogs danglies!
Comfort
Nice interior I suppose. Firm ride, but what do you expect from a sports car?

Security and Service
Security
The alarm only goes off if you open the doors or try to start without the key (or so I would imagine). If you can afford the eye-watering price, buy a hard-top.
Service
Fantastic. Had a slight issue with a door seal. Sorted withing a few hours.

I would recommend you fit a grille to the front air intake as the radiator will get mashed by stones in no time due to the 5's gaping mouth.
