Economy
Value
Amazing secondhand value now. Probably won't drop much in price any further if you look after it.
Costs
Little depreciation, can scrape 40mpg. Maximum road tax which is a little unfair, but it predates the CO2 regime.

Driving
Fantastic flat cornering and fairly powerful. Hard ride and noisy, but that's what you expect. Non-PAS heavy, and clutch is vicious. You get used to it.
Performance
Can't complain about anything here.

Living with it
Reliability
One of the best cars ever made in this respect. Few known problems on post 1990 cars.
Image
Some say it's a girl's car. Not without PAS, it isn't! Looks gorgeous from any angle, much nicer than the Mk2. The chavs tend to ignore them.
Comfort
The cabin is spacious (for two) but is very basic. There's not even a clock!

Security and Service
Security
There's an immobiliser but face it, if they want to get in they'll just slash the roof.
Service
Have only used them for a replacement exhaust and various parts.
