Summary
What does this car say about you?
To people with a good knowledge of cars - I'm a car enthusiast and love the experience of driving To people who think a car is for getting you to work and the shops - a hairdresser? I'm actually a builder!
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Like it a lot
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes. But not a MK3 as they feel too civilised and like a normal everyday car to drive!
What are you likely to buy next?
No plans to change for a long time

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Didn't buy from a dealer
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£3,800
When did you buy the car?
March 2006
Did you get a good deal and why?
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Had always wanted a sports car and after reading up and talking to people with expert knowledge saw it was the best out there with exception of maybe a Boxster
What was the dealer like?
-
Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Outstanding on B roads. The involvement feels more like a mixture of motorbike and car. Suprisingly quite comfortable on long journeys although a little harsh over pot holes etc. Would be nice to have a few extra bhp though once in a while, but the resulting drop in mpg makes it probably not worth it!
What's it like to park?
Fat tyres and no power steering make it quite heavy to park, but its worth it for the B road experience, which is what the car is all about. This is not as pure or involving with power steering.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Mechanically No. It is now 12years old and rust has been the only problem
What's most practical about your car?
Its a sports car and drives like a sports car is supposed to. Also its more practical than lets say a Caterham or Elise
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
A few bits of chrome and leather
