Mazda MX-5 (2005 - 2015) 1.8i 20th Anniversary 2d Owner Review

Very popular roadster which has stood the test of time. Incredibly reliable and well built, hasn't let me down. Enthusiasts sometimes prefer the 2.0 litre although the 20th Anniversary edition only has the 1.8 engine. Personally I find the performance good enough for me. Only 2000 models made of which there are around 600 registered today so becoming a rare edition. This model does seem to hold its value pretty well but you can pick up a bargain in the winter months when convertibles are more difficult to sell. Having owned many convertibles it's the only one that hasn't leaked although I have treated the fabric roof regularly. For the first year of ownership, it was my only car and due to it being a small 2 seater, did find it impractical on a number of occasions and not so great to drive on a wet miserable winter's day. For that reason it's best as a second car.
