Mazda MX-5 (2005 - 2015) 2.0i 2d (Option Pack) Owner Review

So we all know that the MX5 is the best affordable sports car ever made. You will know that the MX5 is fantastic fun to drive. You may also know that the MX5 is amazingly reliable. What you won’t know (unless you have owned an MX5) is that there is a strong emotional tie between you and the car. I’ve just sold my car today after 15 years and I’m feeling pretty sad about that. The thing about this car is that it’s the perfect driving machine; perfectly balanced, is a very positive drive and shifts well and while it sticks to the road like glue it also feels very lively. I love all aspects of it. So what else? Well after 15 years, apart from some superficial rust underneath it ,the car is pristine. Super guard treatment has kept the red paint looking as good as new. Absolutely no fading. Mechanically it’s never let me down. The electrics are still working perfectly. The soft top still works like new. The gears are probably better than new but still positive.
